Businessmen from China discussed with the government of the Republic of Crimea the possibility of placing a greenhouse complex on the territory of the Nyzhnohirskyi Raion.


This was reported to the correspondent of in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.

“Businessmen from China expressed their readiness to invest 600 million rubles ($10 578 000) for growing tomatoes, aubergines, cucumbers, carrots, garlic, melons, watermelons, berries on the territory of Crimea.” In case of agreements, the construction of the greenhouse complex will start during the year”,  reported in the Ministry.

According to the Ministry, the Chinese side is ready to comply with all environmental and other requirements, the project will be done by local labor.

“I hope this project will give the opportunity of obtaining delicious and healthy food at a cheap price. We are interested in making quality food products in the territory of Crimea using the latest technologies.  And for the residents of the Nyzhnohirskyi Raion the launch of greenhouses will create additional jobs, “said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Andrei Ryumshin.
